A qualified skilled nursing candidate would be an advocate for his or her client and possess the ability to adequately perform the following duties, including, but not limited to, the following:

• Assessment and Teaching of Medication Therapy
• Medication Administration
• Manage and Teach the Disease Process
• Good Bedside Manner
• Injections and Treatments
• IV Therapy
• Trach and/or Ostomy Care
• Wound Care
• Catheter Care
• Care of the Terminally Ill
• Diabetic Teaching, Care, and Management
• G. Tube, J. Tube, N.G. Tube, and Feeding Tube Care
• Drainage Tube Care

A qualified Certified Nursing Assistant would advocate for the patient and provide assistance with ADLs, personal care, meal preparation, exercise, and ambulation in accordance with the care plan designed for the individual. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Light Housekeeping
• Assistance with Bathing
• Hair Care
• Washing Clothes
• Grooming and Shaving
• Foot and Nail Care
• Oral Care
• ROM
• Assistance with Medication
• Assistance with Gait Training
